This year sees the first installation of a domestic Solar Energy System on an “Ideal Homes Show house” by STIELBEL ELTRON – Europe’s largest manufacturer of electric water heating equipment.

STIEBEL ELTRON is also the market leader for heat pumps in Switzerland, for storage heaters in Japan and for air-conditioning units in Hungary.

The solar collectors work alongside a conventional heating/hot water system for the provision of hot water. Savings of around 60% of a householder’s bill are typical in the U.K. The energy used is clean, safe, and inexhaustible.

With the sources of fossil fuels ever depleting, their prices are set to escalate. Concerns too are growing over the environmental impact of continued fossil fuel burning. Solar Energy can make a significant contribution to our planet’s energy requirements and is widely recognised as one of the great industrial hopes for the coming century.
